Repeat Buyers Can Now Take Advantage Also

The extended tax credit now includes repeat buyers who can qualify for a $6,500 tax credit if they’ve lived in their home for five consecutive years of the last eight. Homeowners should understand that as long as they’re buying a new primary residence, they’re not required to sell their current home right away—or at all. In the meantime, they’re able to take advantage of today’s lower home prices and historically low interest rates., and get the tax credit!

First time buyers are still able to get the $8,000 credit, as long as they ( individually or jointly ) have not owned a home in the last 3 years. There are some income and home price restrictions, but these won't affect the majority of buyers.

You have until April 30,2010 to be in contract, and you must close by end June, 2010.
